Our general meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month, 7 p.m., at
the Congregational Church of Jefferson Park, 5320 West Giddings, in the basement.
Meetings are free and open to all. Stop by and meet your neighbors!

2023:

February 28, 2024: Joy Rifkin, Sustainability & Training Manager at LRS. She will give us the 'what we need to know to it right' for conscientious recycling.

December 11, 2023: Holiday / Christmas Party at Joe's on Higgins. Paid members are fee, non-members $20. RSVP to JPNA phone number by December 8, 2023.

November 29, 2023: Commander Daniel and Captain Reyes from 16th Police District.

October 25, 2023: JPNA Elections and discussion for next years' speakers.

September 27, 2023: Through the courtesy of Alderman Gardiner, the following speakers will address our recent flooding issues: Senior Civil Engineer Michelle McKinney from Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Superintendent John Gallagher and Angel Hawthorne from the Department of Water.

August 30, 2023: John Garrido from the Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation.

July 26, 2023: Lionel Rabb from the Paschke Art Center.

June 28, 2023: Several Small Businesses Presented

March 15, 2023: Affinity Officer Nikoletta Papadopoulos. She will talk about some of her work with our transit unhoused folks and any success stories she can share. Also, a new business will be introduced.

February 15, 2023: Congressman Quigley, addressing current events, including updates on the situation in the Ukraine. There will be time for questions and answers.

November 30, 2022: Haley LeRand, Farm Manager of Global Garden Refugee Training Farm (had to reschedule from Sept. 28th meeting)

September 29: We would like to thank Wayne Klatt, former reporter & news editor for City News Bureau\Chicago Tribune; cowriter of true-crime books for talking at our meeting.

August 25: We would like to thank US Congressman Mike Quigley for talking at our meeting

July 28: We would like to thank Don Cvejic of DSD Deli and Big John Douglas, Former Olympian Boxer Light-heavyweight division.

2018:

July 25: We would like to thank Irene Flebbe, Assistant Director of Trailside Museium of Natural History for speaking at our meeting regarding getting rid of certain weeds.

August 29: We would like to thank John Kane from FAIR (Fair allocation in runways, a group that works on distributing airplane noise equally). We would also like to thank Adam Corona, the 45th Ward superintendent on discussion of rodent problems.

September 26: We would like to thank Elizabeth Jurkacek will talk about voter registration and what is involved.

October 24: We would like to thank Mary Ann Levar, from Congressman Quigley's Office, on speaking about postal issues brought to our attention at prior meetings and posted on our Facebook Page and on Next Door.

November 28: We would like to thank Dan Pogorzelski speaking about the history of the Northwest Side. He is a co-author of several books which are part of the 'Images of America' series.

December 17: Christmas Party and Dino's Pizza. 7004 W. Higgins, Chicago IL. Thank you all those who came.

2019:

March 27: We would like to thank Nelly Benitez & David Schwab, representatives from City of Chicago 311 non-emergency system will  talk about modernization, give highlights of changes & how to submit City requests.

April 24: William Delgado did not show , Chgo. Dist. Area Manager of Customer Relations,  & Musette Henley, USPS, Customer Relations Coordinator will discuss some of the postal issues in our area and how they will be solved.

May 29: Thank you Alderman Jim Gardiner on discussing the vision for Jefferson Park. Thank you Rep Quigley on talking to everyone at the meeting.

June 26: Ice Cream Social and getting to know your neighbors better.

July 31: Thank you Alderman Gardiner regarding the intrduction of new 45th Ward Street & Sanitation Superintendent. Contratulations on your announcement running for 45th Democratic Ward Committeeman.

August 28: Commander Biggane, New District 16 Commander.

Board Meetings are held the Second Monday of the Month, 7:15pm., at the 16th District Police Station, 5151 North Milwaukee Ave. All members can attend. Non-members can attend through invitation.
